If you’re anything like me, which in a poker sense of the word you likely are, then you enjoy living vicariously through others. That’s what makes the high stakes games so fun to watch; that’s what draws millions of spectators to ESPN when the World Series of Poker Main Event is broadcast; that’s what causes legions of fanboys to follow the every move of Phil Ivey and Tom Dwan and their stupid amounts of money.
Ronny Kaiser takes down PokerStars EPT Tallinn for €275,000
Season eight of the PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) began in Tallinn, Estonia, and gave a title to yet another country as Ronny Kaiser became the first player from Switzerland to bring home a red spade EPT trophy – not to mention a cool €275,000 in cash for beating out a field of 282.
Jose “girah” Macedo admits cheating players out of over $30k
Former Lock Poker pro and poker heads-up sensation Jose “girah” Macedo, better known as “The Portuguese Poker Prodigy”, has admitted to cheating his apparent friends and fellow high-stakes players out of at least $30,000 on the iPoker network.

Barry Greenstein was in San Diego for a big mixed game at the Palomar Card Club last night and was the big loser, more so when he emerged from the game and found that his Aston Martin DB9 had been stolen from the Marriot hotel’s valet parking lot.

The first LAPT event of the season to be held in Uruguay turned out to be a special one for the country, marking the first time that their own flag had been lifted on home soil as a victory celebration at the PokerStars LAPT.

Why it's a great time to be a UK tournament grinder [Editorial]
I don't know about you guys, but I love tournament poker. I realise this isn't something one typically confesses when one has been primarily a cash game grinder for years. However, I think that a deep run in a tournament is one of the most exciting situations in poker.
