Marigliano heads Partouche Day 1A chip counts
The big names were out in force in Cannes yesterday for the opening flight of the €8,500 Partouche Poker Tour Open. Michael Mizrachi (144,800), 2010 champion Vanessa Selbst (102,400) World Champions Jonathan Duhamel (76,800) Pius Heinz (75,600) all enjoyed a good opening flight and ended the day with above average stacks.

Final Table of APPT Melbourne Main Event is Set
Day 3 of APPT Melbourne began with 44 players, but that was quickly thinned down to 34 in the first hour. Last year's winner Leo Boxell was denied his back-to-back victory, exiting soon after in 19th place for $12,080.

Stanley Choi wins Macau High Stakes Challenge
Organisers of the Macau High Stakes Challenge said that the tournament was going to be a biggie and they were most certainly right. A total of 73 players including Tom Dwan, Gus Hansen, Erik Seidel, Mike McDonald and a host of Asian businessmen paid the initial HK$2m ($US260k) buy-in with a further 21 players firing a second barrel to create a gargantuan prize pool of over US$23.5m.
