Well, we did say Sonnert was going to have to make a move soon to avoid being gobbled up by the blinds, and so it came to pass. He got his money in preflop with A-7, but ran into the queens of Ivan Demidov in the big blind.

The flop was no help to Sonnert, but the bullet arrived on the turn to send a pot well in excess of 1 million to the Swede.

While Demidov can afford the hit, he won't want to allow another of those too soon. We're still five-handed, and the playing field might have just evened out a little.
