WSOP Europe Event 1: Adam Junglen Out!

WSOP Europe Event 1: Adam Junglen Out!

Monday, 22 September 2008

He came to the final table as the dominating chip leader, but young American Adam Junglen is out in sixth place, his dreams of a bracelet shattered in ten hands.

Fifty hands into the final table of Event 1 and Adam Junglen was on cruise control. No Limit Hold'em is a volatile beast though, and when he lost a big pot with pocket jacks against Timoshenko's Ace-King, the momentum started to halt.

Moments later, he was unfortunate to find his Ace-Queen pipped by the Ace-King of Neil Channing, crippling his stack to under 70,000. The final blow was dealt just moments ago, and in cruel fashion.

Junglen got his money in with Ac-5c and was called by the pocket fives of John Dwyer. When an ace fell on the flop, Dwyer was left drawing to the case five, which crunched on the turn and shattered Junglen's dream of a first WSOP bracelet.

A quality player, and it will only be a matter of time before Adam wins his first major live tournament - watch this name in the future.
