Tom Dwan Takes $700k Lead in durrrr Challenge

Saturday, 10 October 2009

Finally, Tom Dwan and Patrik Antonius have reached the halfway mark in their 50,000 hand PLO challenge. A three-hour, 1,677-hand session puts them at 25,274 hands played; with Dwan holding a lead of around $660,000.

The win-loss graph published by Full Tilt Poker just before the halfway point was reached truly shows how close this battle has been. It does seem like durrrr has the edge, but there are still 25,000 more hands to be played.

The biggest pot of this most recent session touched $200,000 – durrrr had top set while Antonius turned two pair. While this isn’t a massive cooler in PLO, heads-up and with 3-1 odds for the Finn to call meant Antonius paid him off in a $195,000 pot.

Follow the action over durrrr and Antonius’s next 25,000 at Full Tilt Poker, but don’t forget to check back at Bluff Europe for regular updates.
