Fortunately for worldwide railbirds, it appears that Tom “durrrr” Dwan and Daniel “jungleman12” Cates have gotten back on the durrrr challenge. Unfortunately their last session only lasted for 346 hands; less than one hour of play. Cates increased his lead by around $110,000.

This puts Cates’s total lead at $755,612 after 10,129 hands meaning that they are one fifth of the way to the 50,000 hand total. Dwan is trailing but not by as much as it seems – three-quarters of a million dollars is after all less than twenty buy-ins.


It appears to many observers that Dwan is trying new strategies and becoming a little less aggressive against Cates – evidently he didn’t do so well for the first 10,000 hands of the challenge so who can blame him for trying new things?


He did win over $2.5m from Antonius in the last challenge though so he’s basically freerolling this one.
