Unlike the annual World Championship of Online Poker at PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker’s FTOPS series seems to run every week – not that we’re complaining.
The seventeenth run of the pro players’ site’s flagship tournament series has already awarded more than $4,000,000 to thousands of players... and it’s not even a third of the way through. The 34 tournaments conclude on August 15 and Full Tilt Poker has guaranteed $19,000,000 in prize money for the series overall, including the Main Event. We already told you that Brent “BRoberts85” Roberts added to his $1.2m online winnings (and $1m+ live winnings) with a $164,358 victory in the NL 6-max tournament that began the series. This was also his second FTOPS title.Mike Chappus won the $300 6-max Turbo Shootout event and Aaron Gustavson managed a victory in the $200 NL Rush Turbo event. Jeff Madsen is thus far the only Red Pro to have made a final table (in Chappus’ event for almost $30,000) but that could all change as the series continues.Satellites are still running now for future FTOPS events at Full Tilt Poker, including the $500 Main Event.Keep up to date with all the news from the poker world by following us on Twitter and Facebook.
