Ziigmund and Tom Dwan have been frequently butting heads at the $500/$1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha tables on Full Tilt with the Finn coming off best until last night. Dwan played a little under 900 hands with Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies and won a huge $1.1m – most of which was earned in the last 100 hands.

The two played $500/$1,000 but with two aggressive PLO masters going at it the stakes were more like $1,000/$3,000 or $3,000/$9,000 – a mandatory raise and 3-bet before each flop.


Their biggest pots topped $400,000 with durrrr winning both runs of their biggest. The two made a $27,000 pot before the flop of 7d-6d-As. Ziigmund check-raised and Dwan shoved to make a $454,000 pot. They ran it twice, Ziigmund holding 4s-4d-5s-Td for a flush draw and open-ended straight draw. Dwan had him crushed, however, holding Ac-Ad-5c-5d for the nut flush draw and top set.


The first turn and river, 9s-6c, made durrrr a full house while the second, Ks-7h, did the same. He scooped both $227,000 pots.
