Titan Poker’s European Championship of Online Poker is in full swing and has given away nearly $700,000 in prizes over the last few days. Dumps on your local pub game, doesn’t it?

That’s because European players are signing up in record numbers for Titan Poker’s third run of the ECoOP. Over the weekend, three more winners were crowned and the best part of $700,000 given away across the tournaments.

Day 4 of the ECoOP III saw 420 players put up $215 in a Pot-Limit Omaha Hi/Lo tournament that generated a prize pool of $100,000. Online pro doesalrite did a lot better than that, taking down the tournament for $25,000.

Next we saw a European speciality, the game of choice for Patrik Antonius and David Benyamine – Pot-Limit Omaha, of course. The $100,000 guarantee was easily broken with 156 players creating a $178,000 prize pool. GUKPT winner Jeff "JaffaCake69" Kimber beat PieForYou in heads-up play to take down a cash prize of $46,000.

The tournament organisers guaranteed a $350k prize pool but 532 players turned out for the high-stakes No Limit Hold ‘em tournament hosted next, creating a $450,000 prize pool. The $97k first-place prize was won by Matt ‘ch0ppy’ Kay, a Canadian pro who won the PokerStars Sunday Million in January last year for $201,000.

Speaking of the Sunday Million, that tournament played out yesterday with 8,001 players each putting up $216 (or running like God and satting in for 70FPPs) to play out the internet’s largest weekly tournament. It was taken down by Peter ‘twirlpro’ Turmezy of Hungary, who is currently well-ranked in the online poker community and adds the $196,000 won yesterday to nearly $400,000 in prior tournament winnings on PokerStars alone.
