Phil Ivey may have suffered a surprise early exit from the NBC National Heads Up Championship but he has more than made up for that disappointment with some great online results.
Ivey has booked whopping a seven-figure profit since last Friday, most of it coming at the hands of Daniel 'Jungleman' Cates in a series of $500/$1,000 capped PLO games. Ivey is now up $1.5m for the month, putting him second behind Gus Hansen on the 2011 money list. Ivey also got heads scratching after a somewhat cryptic comment appeared on his Twitter account. Ivey wrote, “After NBC Heads Up, I've been working hard on my latest endeavor with many of my top poker friends.” What this mystery project is remains shrouded in mystery. Elsewhere in the online high stakes games things haven't been going quite so well for Viktor Blom. Isildur1 is around $700k down this month and is joined in the red column by Kagome Kagome and Phil Galfond who are both down over $1m for the year to date.Keep up to date with all the news from the poker world by following us on Twitter and Facebook.
