Czech player wins game with PokerStars Pros via Home Games

Thursday, 10 March 2011

PokerStars Home Games have been all the rage since their launch earlier this year with hundreds of thousands of players – from weekly pub chancers to WSOP bracelet-winners – setting up their own fully-customisable private cash games and tournaments to play with their friends no matter where in the world they are.

Just one of these players was George from the Czech Republic, who plays as Hark123. He set up a club and invited his friends where they got gambling in $1 rebuy PLO games against each other, more for bragging rights than the cash. As the founder of the club, George was entered in the Ultimate Home Game $100,000 freeroll – and he only went and won.

He and his home game friends now get to travel to one of four locations – EPT Snowfest, Vancouver, Macau or Buenos Aires (he’s chosen Macau) – to play a private game, bankrolled by PokerStars, against Daniel Negreanu, Jonathan Duhamel and a Team PokerStars Pro of his choosing.

“Liv Boeree,” he snap calls. “She’s very good and she’s beautiful, too.” Good man.
