2012’s Winners and Losers

In poker there are always winners and losers and after battling back-and-forth for 12 months the final figures for the game’s high stakes pros were revealed.
Topping the table with an untouchable $3,581,763 profit was US grinder, Ben “Sauce123” Sulsky. After playing a total of 194,269 hands, Sulsky end the year as the biggest winner ahead of Finnish pro, Jens Kyllonen.
Although Kyllonen finished over $1.1 million behind Sulsky, his $2,492,278 haul is certainly not one to be disappointed with.
Also making last year’s top 10 biggest winners, were: EireAbu: +$2,176,527, Ben86: +$2,136,109, Kanu7: +$1,635,244, ragen70: +$1,618,381, bernard-bb: +$1,488,484, Phil “MrSweets28” Galfond: +$1,417,998, longerpig: +$1,403,455 and Chung ho: +$1,229,812.
At the other end of the spectrum, “Zypherin” ended a disappointing year with a deficit of $3,552,742. The unknown grinder was closely followed by Gus Hansen who saw $3,109,619 wiped from his online bankroll over the course of 12 months.
Also dropping a sizeable sum in 2012 was Viktor “Isildur1” Blom. The Swedish star lost $2,673,899 to finish the year as the third biggest loser.
Other losers in 2012, included: patpatman: -$1,791,000, PepperoniF: -$1,377,402, patpatpanda: -$1,277,896, broksi: -$1,093,446, toweliestar: -$1,015,679, Fake Love888: -$991,295, Tom “durrrr” Dwan: -$987,189.
