We've only just recovered from the WSOPE Marathon but it hasn't stopped us getting to the EPT London for the final table.
A total of 596 players entered the EPT London Main Event this time, with many of those unfortunate enough to bail out of the WSOPE Main Event head straight here in a bid to pick up the £1,000,000 first prize. We're down to eight now and there are a couple of familiar faces at the final table. Here are the final eight, with their chip counts:Seat 1: Eric Liu 1,308,000Seat 2: Johannes Strassmann 434,000Seat 3: Philippe D'Auteuil 476,000Seat 4: Antony Lellouche 1,022,000Seat 5: Michael Tureniec 1,331,000Seat 6: Alan Smurfit 396,000Seat 7: Marcin Horecki 309,000Seat 8: Michael Martin 718,000Liu, Strassman and Lellouche are no strangers to the business-end of EPT events, while Alan Smurfit is highly respected Irish pro who has been beating poker games around Europe for decades. Smurfit has also won a WSOP bracelet, picking up the £1,500 PLO with rebuys title in 2007.Michael Martin is another top notch player who went on something of a heater yesterday, propelling himself well over 1.3 million in chips at one point. While he's headed back in the opposite direction a little, he has shown he is capable of accumulating chips quickly and so is one to watch.Action at the Grosvenor Victoria Casino gets under way around 1.30pm local time, and we'll update you on all the action as it unfolds at the table.
