It’s been over a year since PokerStars launched their version of fast-fold poker and while cash game regulars have been able to enjoy the delights of Zoom, tournament grinders haven’t.
However, all that looks set to change in the near future as PokerStars’ Lee Jones has announced that Zoom MTTs will be in the next software update. According to his post the feature has been in development for a while and final creases are being ironed out before it finally hits the site’s lobby in the next few weeks.“They’re in the new software release, so it’s just a question of putting a final polish on. Of course, these things occasionally slip, and job #1 is making sure they work properly, but we’re getting very close on these.”Zoom tournaments are expected to work in much the same way as Full Tilt’s Rush tournaments, which have been running since 2010.The addition of the high octane MTTs, along with a new flighted tournament offering (where players can choose their starting day for an event before being merged with the rest of the field as the final table approaches), demonstrates once again why PokerStars is leading the way in the online world. New players can join the action at PokerStars with a first deposit bonus of up to $500. Sign up here.
