World Poker Tour returns to US TV with boosted ratings

Thursday, 26 January 2012

The World Poker Tour returns to Fox Sports Net in January with new episodes from Season X. The season, which has expanded from 26 to 37 episodes, begins on February 12.

The WPT has gone from strength to strength in recent years and TV ratings reflect that with a 30% boost from those tuning into the Royal Flush Girls, Tony Dunst’s analysis and of course, some poker.

“The steadfast effort put into revamping the World Poker Tour last season was rewarded with resounding fan and viewer support,” said WPT President Adam Pliska. “For WPT Season X, we’re debuting more innovations and giving our audience even more reasons to tune in each week.”

Once again, Mike Sexton and Vince Van Patten will return to the booth for the tenth year in a row.
