World Poker Tour Heads to Dusk Till Dawn

Monday, 19 May 2014

As we've come to to expect from Rob Yong, there's no lack of ambition at Dusk Till Dawn. The Nottingham super club has come up trumps again, this time announcing details of not one but two £1m guaranteed events as the World Poker Tour heads to the midlands this November.

The 17-day festival is provisionally scheduled from Friday 7th until Sunday 23rd November and will feature six 'Headline Events'.

In addition to the £1m guaranteed, £3,000 buy-in WPT Nottingham Main Event, DTD will also be hosting a £500 buy-in WPT National tournament, complete with another seven-figure prize pool. 50 seats into the WPT Nottingham Main Event will also be awarded in the WPT National.

Rounding out the tournament line up are a WPT Warm Up, a WPT High Roller, WPT six-max and WPT PLO events, full details of which will be confirmed once the WSOP is in the book.

The Big Six

1. WPT Warm Up
2. WPT National £500 buy-in, £1M GTD including 50 x £3K Main Event Seats
3. WPT High Roller
4. WPT Pot Limit Omaha
5. WPT Main Event £3000 buy-in, £1M GTD
6. WPT 6-Max

There will be plenty of opportunities for local players to go head to head with the crème de la crème of the tournament circuit courtesy of a new evening tournament format at the Nottingham venue.

DTD hopes 'to qualify close to 1000 players for the WPT National £500 over the next 6 months' as well as a further 200 into the WPT National Main Event. Online qualifiers for the Main Event will run at Bwin Poker.

“Because of the range of different buy-ins, I expect this to be the biggest UK poker festival ever - we will be putting the same effort into this as we did for the ISPT, but with over double the lead time to qualify players,” said Yong.

We can't wait.
