The third event of the 2011 World Series of Poker Europe has awarded the bracelet after Steve Billirakis defeated a tough final table to beat Michele Di Lauro heads-up and take down his second career bracelet after his Mixed Hold ‘em win in 2007.

Billirakis was the youngest ever bracelet-winner when he took down the event in 2007 and since then has earned over $2m in cashes on the live circuit. He began the final table second in chips and patiently made his way to the last few players. He eliminated the UK’s Jerome Bradpiece and Ramzi Jelassi before taking out Di Lauro.

In the final hand, Di Lauro called a 3-et and moved all-in over a continuation bet on the As-Kd-7c flop holding A-J-T-4 for top pair and a gutshot; Billirakis snapped him off with A-K-Q-3 for top two pair. None of the three remaining queens were forthcoming and Billirakis was crowned champion.

The full final table payouts were as follows:

1. Steve Billirakis - €238,140
2. Michele Di Lauro - €147,171
3. Ramzi Jelassi - €105,937
4. Sam Trickett - €77,642
5. Jerome Bradpiece - €57,912
6. Konstantin Uspenskiy - €43,950
7. Erich Kollmann - €33,922
8. Sam Chartier - €26,610
