WSOP Announces Next Asia-Pacific

Friday, 25 April 2014

The World Series Of Poker (WSOP) has released the schedule for this year’s edition of its WSOP Asia-Pacific, which will now he held from October 2 to 18 at the Crown Casino And Entertainment Complex in Melbourne featuring ten gold bracelet events.

Operating under the ‘bigger and better’ mantra, the 2014 WSOP Asia-Pacific will offer more bracelet events than any other ever to have been held outside of the United States. This should give grinders from the four corners of the globe more than enough reason to join the action and play for a piece of poker bling.

Aside from offering more chances for players to win a bracelet, the next WSOP Asia-Pacific will host a number of new events including Dealers Choice and Terminator No-Limite Hold‘Em tournaments costing anywhere from $1,100 to $25,000.

On top of the news that the 2014 WSOP Asia-Pacific will be the largest WSOP tournament series ever held outside of the United States, organisers have confirmed that the main event and high-roller games are to receive ‘comprehensive’ live television coverage in North America and Australia courtesy of ESPN.

“New events at modest price points like the Dealers Choice and Terminator No-Limit Hold‘Em plus an expansion of overall events and a move to springtime in Melbourne is designed to encourage the North American and European contingent to make this a can’t miss event,” said Ty Stewart from the WSOP.

“Plus, we have secured the most comprehensive live television coverage in both the United States and Australia for both the main event and high-roller.”
