WSOP Announces Circuit Schedule

Friday, 3 July 2015

The World Series of Poker has announced details of the schedule for the new season of WSOP Circuit events.

The eleventh season will include a total of 25 events, six of which will take place outside of the USA. The first stop on European soil will be in Campione in Italy from 16-30 September with a further event lined up in Rozvadov in the Czech Republic from 1-8 November 2015.

An event in Mexico has also been pencilled in with two more international stops yet to be confirmed.

A few wrinkles have been added to the format for the new season including re-entry for most Main Events. Most festivals will also feature a total of 12 ring events, culminating in a three-day Main Event. In addition to a chunky cash prize, each WSOP Circuit stop Main Event winner will also receive an automatic entry into the WSOP Circuit Global Casino Championship where a $1m prize pool and WSOP bracelet will be awarded.

“We know not everyone can make it out to Las Vegas for the World Series of Poker, and this is our way of bringing the flavor and feel of the WSOP to regional markets,” said WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart. “The WSOP Circuit continues to be a great success, both at getting new players to the game and creating tomorrow’s stars and we’re excited to kick off the twelfth season August 6.”
