WPT World Championship to Return to Borgata

Tuesday, 9 September 2014

The World Poker Tour will continue its expansion during Season XIII following the announcement that it will visit Atlantic City four times.

Playing host to four WPT events will be the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, something which the tour's President, Adam Pliska, believes will allow the tour to grow and generate larger prizepools.

"As a long-standing partner of the World Poker Tour with an unparalleled tournament staff, Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa is the perfect venue to host four televised WPT events in Season XIII," said Pliska.

Topping the list of tournaments planned for Atlantic City in 2015 will be the season ending WPT World Championship. Slated to kick off on April 24th, the event will stay inside the Borgata for a second year following a move from the finale's original home, the Bellagio, Las Vegas.

Overall, the WPT will produce more than 11 hours of televised poker content which will be shown on FSN during Season XIII.

"We are thrilled to return to Borgata for the season-ending WPT World Championship after a successful transition in Season XII, and with the ability to generate massive prize pools, draw the biggest names in poker," Pliska explained.
