Two men appear in court over Aussie Millions robbery

Two men who allegedly robbed the American poker player Jason Potter after he cashed for $30,000 at the Aussie Millions this January have appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates court.

Two men who allegedly robbed the American poker player Jason Potter after he cashed for $30,000 at the Aussie Millions this January have appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates court.
Dwayne Johnstone, 32, of St Albans, faces five charges including armed robbery, assault and drug possession.
Vhyharn Arumughasamy, 26, of Wheelers Hill, has been charged with one count of armed robbery.
Neither of the men have applied for bail.
The men allegedly attacked Potter, 22, of Oklahoma, as he was walking back from the Crown Casino on 21st January. Potter, who had finished in 31st out of a field of 780 at the Main Event, was walking on Spencer Street bridge when he was attacked from behind at around 4.30am.
His assailants, who were armed with knives, allegedly grabbed $31,075 worth of American and Australian banknotes before fleeing the scene.
Detectives arrested Johnstone and Arumughasamy on January 31st after gaining search warrants for the men’s properties.
The men reappear at Melbourne Magistrates court in March.
