Tuesday, 10 April 2012

The heats of the PartyPoker Premier League have concluded, leaving us with an eight-handed final table that features some of the biggest names in poker. The top three finishers from each group, plus two play-off winners, made it through.

With chip counts based on points received in the opening games, British qualifier Mathew Frankland has the top spot with 400,000. He is closely followed by Daniel “jungleman” Cates on 380,000. Also joining the final after a top three finish are Sam Trickett, Patrik Antonius, Tony G and Scott Seiver.

Tom “durrr” Dwan and Phil Laak took on Yevgeniy Timoshenko and Andy Frankenberger for a spot at the final table, with the former pair winning their heads-up matches to go through to the final. The winner is set to take home $500,000 today.
