Tom Brady wins International Poker Open

Tuesday, 13 November 2012

The final eight players at the BoylePoker.com International Poker Open 2012 reconvened on Saturday to battle it out for the first prize of €42,530 and by the end it was Plymouth-based Northern Irishman Tom Brady who was celebrating.

Brady, who went into the final table with a healthy chip advantage was largely untroubled throughout, losing the lead only once during the last day. The start of day short stack, Darren Millar enjoyed a great final table and eventually went head to head with Brady. His remarkable comeback fell just short though when his A6 couldn't come from behind to beat Brady's A9. €30,715 will no doubt provide some consolation.

The final table payouts were:
1: Tom Brady - €42,530
2: Darren Millar - €30,715
3: Emmett Davis - €21,605
4: Henry Port - €16,215
5: Lori Lazzaro - €12,730
6: Thomas Nathan - €10,620
7: Colum Horan - €8,485
8: Thomas Dupuy - €6,375
