The Grosvenor 25/25 Series has crowned its first midland winner with Tai Hoang taking the honours in Birmingham over the weekend.

A bumper field of 318 entries at the city's G Casino created an impressive prize pool of £63,600 with Hoang taking the biggest chunk of it after three highly competitive days of action.

Hoang turned his buy-in of just £200 into £14,000 after beating David Halliday heads up sealing victory after turning a five high straight to beat his opponent's jack high bluff.
