Stefan Hansen has won the opening leg of the third season of the European Masters of Poker (EMOP) tour which got under way in Gran Canaria earlier this week.
The Norwegian outlasted a 213-strong field in the €1,100 buy-in event at the Casino Las Palmas in The Canary Islands. Hansen sealed the win by beating Israel's Yohas Avidani heads up. The chips went in with both players holding pocket pocket pairs.
