Stacey heads UKIPT London

Saturday, 5 October 2013

The starting field of 747 at UKIPT London is down to just 35 with Daniel Stacey leading the chase for the £136,875 first place money.

The Irishman will return for today's penultimate day action with a stack of 1,400,000 giving him a very healthy advantage over Adrian Demescu who lies in second with 902,000.

Jack Salter (828,000) and Robert Bull (739,000) head the home challenge with recent GUKPT Manchester winner Sunny Chattha (575,000) also rising high. Other notables still in the hunt for the title include 'Marbella Kid' Paul Zimbler (562,000), PKR pro Vladimir Geshkenbein (500,000) and Karl Mahrenholz (253,000).

The bubble burst early yesterday with Barry Greenstein, Victoria Coren, Dimitar Danchev and our own Nick Wealthall all making the money but busting by the close.

The action resumes at noon today with the average stack 427,000.
