The maiden Sky Poker UK Poker Championship at Dusk Till Dawn is upon us and it looks like it's going to be a biggie.
The week-long festival is up and running and will offer a massive guaranteed prize pool of £800,000 as well as bracelets to winners of the five championship events.A host of top names are expected to take to the tables in Nottingham with Sam Trickett, Tony G and Jake Cody all confirmed. The first of Championship event is the £3,000 High Roller which is off at 6pm today.Top of the bill is the £1000+£100 Main Event which features a whopping £500,000 guarantee. The first of two opening flights starts at 1pm on Wednesday 19th February. With over 450 players already registered the Main Event is shaping up to be massive. So much so that DTD chief Rob Yong has sent out an appeal to the poker community to play on Wednesday's opening flight.“DTD is a damn big card room with 50 tables, but this event is really building some serious momentum now, and I am a little concerned that we could end up turning players away on Thursday (Day 1b) because so far everyone is choosing that day to play,” Yong wrote.“Me and Simon have agreed there is no way we will deal this prestigious event 10 handed, just to get more players in, so our capacity is 450 and we will also need extra tables for satellites, PLO and cash games later on. The structure is so good that we dont expect many bustouts between 1pm and 6pm when the PLO starts, therefore, I am appealing to those players who can play Wednesday Day 1a to help me out and play that day :)”.The full schedule is available below.
