Six Plus Hold‘Em Hits iPoker.com

Six Plus Hold‘Em Hits iPoker.com

Thursday, 18 February 2016

The online poker room at iPoker.com is soon set to launch games of Six Plus Hold‘Em, which is its stripped back version of the more traditional Texas hold‘em.

The Playtech-owned domain revealed that its new action-packed exclusive offering, which is reportedly the game of choice for high-stakes players in Macau despite being relatively unknown to the larger poker community, will go live from Monday alongside a range of promotions set to be worth up to €125,000 ($138,525).

The favourite cash game of professional poker stars Phil Ivey and Tom Dwan, Six Plus Hold‘Em plays like regular Texas hold‘em but with the deuce through five cards removed from the deck to create bigger hands and larger pots. The variant also sees an ace able to be used as a five card to make a 5-6-7-8-9 straight while a flush beats a full house and a set tops a straight.

Playtech stated iPoker.com will also be pushing the new variant via a selection of cash games, tournaments and sit-and-go events.
