PartyPoker recently added another star in the form of Vanessa Selbst to its Premier League line-up.
Set to kick off on November 20 and run through until the 26, the seventh incarnation of the PartyPoker Premier League will now feature political wannabe Tony G, Antonio Esfandiari, Phil Laak, the recently tattooed Jeff Gross and now Selbst. Costing $125,000 to enter the TV tournament has become a favourite of many pros and when asked about her reason for taking part in the event Vanessa said: "I had so much fun playing the Premier League in 2011 — it’s such a fun, innovative, and mentally-challenging structure. I’m excited it has come to North America and thrilled to be able to play it again, especially in a new short-handed format." Vanessa first played the tournament back in 2011 when she was unable to make it through the preliminary rounds, but this time she is hoping a change of venue will give her a better chance of success. Indeed, this year the action will take place in Canada's Playground Poker Club and form part of the increasingly popular WPT Montreal festival which kicks off on November 29. With 12 seats to fill it's expected the rest of the field will be announced within the coming weeks and if last year's line-up is anything to go by we can expect some of the game's finest to ante-up in November.
