Schemion Closing in on EPT Prague HR

Wednesday, 17 December 2014

Another busy day in Prague saw German wunderkind Ole Schemion close in on another major poker title after he moved into second in the EPT Prague €10,300 High Roller.

After starting the day with 141 players vying for the title, just 23 were left at the end of play and sitting in second place was Schemion.

Overall the tournament attracted an impressive 309 entrants which means when play resumes later today the eventual winner will walk away with a healthy Christmas bonus worth €606,400. In among the race for that top prize, the likes of Olivier Busquet, Mike McDonald and David Vamplew all fell by the wayside.

However, their loss was Schemion's gain as the young German managed to rake in 1,752,000 chips by the close of the session to sit just behind the overall leader Oleksii Khoroshenin.

Of course, when the final day gets underway the rail will be looking to Schemion as one of the main threats for the title. However, just outside of the top ten are some of the game's finest MTT grinders, including Marvin Rettenmaier, Dan Shak, Ari Engel and Jonathan Little.

That stellar cast will all contribute to what promises to be a fantastic day of action inside Prague's Hilton Casino later today.
