Rounders star Matt Damon and his Good Will Hunting co-star Ben Affleck have confirmed their attendance at the Ante Up for Africa charity tournament at the 2010 World Series of Poker.
Damon is well-known in the poker community for his role as degenerate law student Mike McDermott in the 1998 cult poker hit alongside Edward Norton; Damon and Affleck are both famous for their Academy Award-winning Good Will Hunting and both are poker enthusiasts."We are very excited to have Matt and Ben already confirmed to participate in our Fourth Annual WSOP Ante Up For Africa poker tournament,” said AUFA co-founder, Annie Duke. “We look forward to hearing from more big names in the gaming and entertainment industries as they come on board to give their valuable time and energy and help bring attention to the dire crisis taking place in areas in Africa like Darfur."The Ante Up for Africa tournament will take place on July 3 at the Rio Hotel and Casino during the 2010 WSOP. To date the event has raised millions for the continent.
