There'll be more than poker on offer at this year's EPT Barcelona festival and if jetskis and speedboats don't tickle your fancy, there's some more traditional partying to enjoy.
PokerStars has confirmed that Grammy-award winning DJ Roger Sanchez will be performing a three-hour set at a special party at Tearte Central on 20 August. There'll be an open bar for EPT and Estrellas Tour players as well as a special VIP zone when the Catalan public are allowed in.“We are absolutely thrilled that Roger Sanchez will be helping us celebrate the 100th EPT and also thank PokerTracker, the Official EPT Poker Tracking Partner, for sponsoring the event,” said EPT President Edgar Stuchly. “EPT100 is one of the most important milestones in our history and we are getting ready to host a record number of online qualifiers. I suspect that Sanchez’s performance will prove an even bigger incentive for players trying to win their seat in the tournament.”Sanchez has worked with many of the music world's most influential performers including the likes of Madonna, Kylie Minogue and reclusive French dance duo Daft Punk.In addition to the many festivities away from the felt, there will of course be plenty of top class tournament poker available at the opening event of the latest European Poker Tour season. 44 events are scheduled between 16 and 27 August including a €50,000 High Roller and of course the €5,300 Main Event.
