Qualify for the World Poker Tour Bay 101 Shooting Star

The World Poker Tour Bay 101 Shooting Stars tournament is one of the largest bounty tournaments in the world, boasting such champions as Nam Le, Ted Forrest and Brandon Cantu. Last year, McLean Karr won almost $900,000 for besting a 333-strong field.

Full Tilt Poker is doing a fine job of increasing your potential ROI in this famous event with several qualifying events running from now until February 27. The 2011 Bay 101 WPT event kicks off on March 14 this year; the $10,000 entry is a little hefty but you can qualify for as little as $11 – or even free!


Every Tuesday, a $322 direct qualifier will run; Thursdays see a $1,060 qualifier while Sundays have a $640 direct event. Satellites to these tournaments run from as little as $11 or $260, with freerolls on offer for those who don’t want to spend a penny. This year the Bay 101 Shooting Stars WPT championship is predicted to give a $1,000,000 first prize including a $25,000 WPT Championship seat at the Bellagio.


Those of us who don’t live local to Vegas (i.e. less than an Atlantic ocean away) have no worries – the $12,000 package includes flights and accommodation to take care of all your needs should you nab a package on the cheap.
