As if September wasn’t packed out enough for poker tournament players in the UK, the Irish Poker Festival is taking place from October 1-3 in Kilarney at the National Irish Events Centre with a €550 buy-in and a guaranteed prize pool of €250,000.

Making it easier for online players, you can buy in directly at Ladbrokes Poker. Either you can simply purchase the tournament seat for €550 or, for a discount rate, you can get the buy-in plus three nights’ bed and breakfast at the Gleneagle hotel next door for €910.


If that is still sounding a little steep for your taste then fear not – Ladbrokes are, of course, offering satellites and super-satellites to the Main Event from as little as €3.30. On top of daily qualifiers there are also re-buy tournaments and double chance games. These lead to Wednesday’s weekly finals which are held at 19.50 GMT and can be bought into directly for €125 + €9.


Last year’s Ladbrokes Irish Poker Festival saw 752 players register to the Main Event and in 2008 the tournament broke records – 832 players made it the largest ranked tournament on European soil at the time.
