Prested builds huge lead at UKIPT Bristol

Friday, 9 November 2012

The PokerStars UK and Ireland Poker Tour's first visit to the West Country certainly didn't disappoint yesterday with a bumper field of 235 runners on hand at the Gala Casino for the opening flight of UKIPT Bristol.

It was Jonathan Prested who enjoyed by far the best of the Day 1A action, building up a huge stack of 121,300 by the close of play. To put that in perspective, Prested's closest rivals, Slovakian Michael Danko and Irishman Kevin Killeen bagged up 69,600 and 67,800.

Plenty of notable names were among the 109 players that navigated their way through the opening flight including recent Bluff interviewee Sam Grafton (56,800), Nik Persaud (46,800), Kevin Williams (41,200), former Irish Open champ James Mitchell (38,400), and recent UKIPT online runner up Chris Moorman (9,600).

Big name bust outs included Roberto Romanello and last year's WSOP November Niner Sam Holden.

Plenty of familiar faces are expected for today's second opening day flight which gets under way at noon. Join us over the weekend for updates.
