Prague to host OFC Festival

When he's not been berating Russian foreign policy or debating in the European Parliament, high stakes pro turned Lithuanian MEP Tony G has found time to organise the first OpenFace Chinese World Poker Championship which will take place from 8-10 December in Prague.

Accompanying the two-day, €1,000 Main Event will be a high roller tournament which will have a €10,000 buy-in with re-entry also available. Seats into the Main Event will also be offered in a €120 last-minute satellite qualifier.

“We have decided to run an ambitious €10K High Roller event as per request from our top regulars, and we are expecting this tournament to draw a lot of big names from the poker community,” said a TonyBet spokesman. “It should become the open-face Chinese poker catwalk both in terms of player names and quality of the game.”

The OFC Championship will form part of the packed Prague Poker Festival and should attract plenty of takers at the Czech capital's Corinthia Hotel’s King Casino.

“The Championship will celebrate the incredible year that we had at TonyBet Poker, and we will make sure there’s plenty of action for our players,” the TonyBet spokesman added.
