PokerStars approaching 50,000,000,000th hand

Tuesday, 14 September 2010

Not only are PokerStars hosting the largest online poker tournament series of all time with the $50,000,000 guaranteed World Championship of Online Poker but they are also approaching the monumental milestone of dealing their fifty billionth hand of poker.

The hand will occur this month and more than $1,000,000 will be won by loads of players at the world’s largest online poker site. Each player involved in the 50,000,000,000th hand will receive $500 for each VPP they made in their last 50 hands (one for each dollar in rake paid).

Furthermore, everyone involved in the hand receives a 2010 $5,200 WCOOP Main Event entry for the $10,000,000 guaranteed tournament on September 26 and the winner of the hand will have their prize money per VPP doubled. Also, anyone who plays in every millionth hand from 47bn to 50bn will receive $50 for each VPP earned in the past 50 hands. Again, the pot winner will see their prize doubled.

Overall, more than a million dollars will be awarded to various players as we approach hand number fifty billion. The WCOOP Main Event will award $10,000,000 in prize money and a $2,000,000 first prize. If you don’t make it to a milestone hand then you can qualify for pittance via dozens of satellites.
