After a slew of applications and a lengthy selection process, PokerStars has finally chosen some new members for its team of online representatives.
In total 500 Supernovas applied to become part of PokerStars Team Online but when the chips were down only three could make it onto the site's glittering roster of grinders. Commenting on the selection process, head of Team Online, Chris Jonat, said: "We had a number of fantastic candidates during the open application process, many of whom we'll be keeping tabs on going forward. Ultimately, we chose people who represented game types and countries that were new to our Team."First to be selected for the team was Katerina 'Katerina289' Malasidou. The Greek native also happens to be the girlfriend of current Team Online member Andre Coimbra and since meeting him she has become an accomplished hyper turbo grinder. The next player to make the team is Austria's Matthias 'Mati312' Brandner. Plucked from the depths of the poker world where he dominates the $100/$200 Badugi and lowball games, Brandner boasts one of the most exotic skill set on the team. The final player to earn a spot on the team is Limit Hold'em specialist Luka Kovac. The former competitive skier is still playing on his first ever deposit and crushes the games under the handle 'LukaSteel'.Join them at the PokerStars. New players that deposit £10 will receive £20 worth of play.
