Pierrick Tallon wins UKIPT Bristol

The PokerStars UK and Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) has crowned its latest winner after Pierrick Tallon took the honours in Bristol over the weekend.

The Belgian topped a field of 446 runners and walked away with a first prize of £53,000 after seeing off a final table that included Ireland's Joseph Lalor, Frenchman Otto Richard and the UK's Chi Zhang.

Tallon agreed a heads up chip deal with England's Chris Brice who pocketed an impressive £42,000 for his runner up finish.

Two handed play was a cagey affair but the 23-year-old took control after doubling up after flopping a set. Tallon carried that momentum all the way to victory, eventually sealing the deal when his Ah3s held against Brice's Kh4h.

"I'm going to try and be reasonable with the money but I'll probably spend a bit more than usual the next few days and then get back to my normal games," the newly crowned champ told the PokerStars blog.
