Pierre Neuville leads final 24 players at EPT Copenhagen

Friday, 24 February 2012

The field at EPT Copenhagen has been reduced to 24 players with Team PokerStars Pro Pierre Neuville leading the way into Day 4. The businessman Neuville is still an experienced tournament player with over a million dollars in live earnings.

Now with double the average stack, he is well-poised to go for his first EPT title. He leads a top ten in chip counts that includes Martin Staszko and Steve O’Dwyer, as well as PokerStars Team Online member Mickey Petersen. Michael Tureniec is the only former EPT winner left.

Former Liverpool midfielder Jan Molby made the money yesterday, as did Juha Helppi and Simon Ravnsbæk.

All 24 remaining players are guaranteed at least DKK 70,000 ($12,500) with the eight-handed final table locking up at least DKK 191,400 ($35,000). The winner of the event is set to take home DKK 2,515,000 ($453,000).
