Partouche Poker Tour Day 1 complete

Partouche Poker Tour Day 1 complete

Wednesday, 5 September 2012

The two opening day flights of the Partouche Poker Tour are in the book with a total of 560 players paying the €8,500 buy-in. A slightly lower than expected turn out means that the prize pool hasn’t quite reached the €5m hoped for though.

There’s still around €4.5m to be won though with plenty of big names looking for a share. Day 1B saw the entrance of Patrik Antonius and defending champ Sam Trickett and they both safely navigated their way through the day and will return with 87,200 and 55,000 respectively.

Other notables to make it through from the second flight included David Williams (120,400), David Vamplew (93,000), Zimnan Ziyard (69,300) and Matthew Frankland (69,100).

A total of 278 players will be back for Day 2 with Marcelo Marigliano leading the way on 187,300. Blinds will resume at 400/800 with a 100 ante with the average stack at 60,431.

Despite the lower than anticipated field, the winner is still set to walk away with a seven-figure score. Join us tomorrow for updates.
