The award winning 3D poker room, PKR.com, has announced the winners of its Player of the Year awards after a flurry of nominations from the site's community.
One of Norway's top players, Ovnis was crowned the Tournament Player of the Year. Having accumulated $80,000 in tournament winnings including 12 major titles and 23 cashes of $1k or more Ovnis beat out stiff competition from Spain's japete, Patatosalatas from Greece and Swede Rocken1900 to take the tournament gong. It's the second major accolade that the Drammen native has received, having previously been inducted into the PKR Hall of Fame last year.The Cash Game Player of the Year award was won by Team PKR Pro Vladimir ‘Beyne’ Geshkenbein. Described as the 'undisputed king of the high stakes heads up cash games' the 21-year-old this year became the first player to cash out $1m at the site.Irishwoman Pkr1princess took the third and final award for the Forumite of the Year. Marketing manager, Erika Schwartz Poole commented "Congrats to all our winners this year. These awards are a great way for our players to recognise the achievements of their peers and provide inspiration to others.
