PKR has been tinkering with its schedule for the forthcoming WPT National Ireland in January and after some deliberation they announced the main event will be a re-entry format.
Kicking off on 2nd January with a satellite event, the main action gets underway in Dublin’s Citywest Hotel on the 3rd when a host of players will begin swapping chips, and banter, across the felt.Renowned for its jovial atmosphere, this event will be one that attracts a lot of players and the recently updated list of events will certain help bump up the numbers.Indeed, the €1,200+120 main event is expected to attract over 300 players following last year’s attendance of 338.In a recent post on their dedicated Facebook page, PKR announced that in addition to participants being able to re-enter on Day 1B if they were eliminated on Day 1A, the starting stacks for the €2,500+200 High Roller has shifted from 20k to 30k. Also on the menu in Ireland will be a “Win the Button” tournament, a host of Hold’em events and cash games running throughout the night.
