PCA Prop Bets

PCA Prop Bets

Wednesday, 7 January 2015

It took a little less than two hours from the start of the first event at this year's PCA for the game's high rollers to start making prop bets.

In what seems to be something of a tradition on Paradise Island, players were quick to find additional ways to make some cash. One willing bettor/ investor combination on Day 1 was Bill Perkins and Mike 'Timex' McDonald.

Being something of a fitness fanatic these days, McDonald was willing to display his physical prowess with two bets.

The first prop bet required McDonald to complete 300 squats in an hour during the $100,000 Super High Roller. With $10,000 on the line as well as his tournament life, McDonald managed to complete the task and net a quick bundle of cash.

However, the Canadian soon found himself in the firing line again, this time with a push-up contest. Again the time limit was one hour and the betting line was set at $10,000. Unfortunately, however, McDonald was unable to complete this one successfully and fell just short of the 350 push-up target with 323 presses.

Despite his exhausting prop bets, McDonald managed to finish the session in second place just behind the overall leader, Sam Greenwood.
