The next edition of the annual PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) tournament series is set to be bigger than ever according to a recent press release.
Traditionally one of the first major live poker events of the year, the 2016 edition of the PCA will reportedly boast 104 events held over the course of nine days.As ever, the action will take place inside the Atlantis Paradise Island Resort in the Bahamas from January 6 with the menu featuring many of the festival's recent favourites.Headlining the PCA will be the $5,300 main event and this is to be flanked by a series of high-roller tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $10,000 right up to $100,000.However, to ensure that as many sun-seekers as possible get a chance to experience a PokerStars-run tournament, the organisers have laid on a smorgasbord of options costing from as little as $120.Indeed, the $120 Flipout triple elimination tournaments (basically you're all-in until you're all-out) look to be one of the most interesting options on the impressive schedule. Of course, for those seeking some variety and value, the PCA is also offering a selection of non-hold'em tournaments including seven-card stud, pot-limit Omaha and dealer's choice variants of most games. To help bolster the number and make it a record breaking PCA, PokerStars will additionally run a plethora of online satellites with buy-ins costing from as little as $1. Not only that, but as the event draws nearer there will be a series of themed tournaments and promotions designed to send more people to paradise this winter.
