This year's Big One for One Drop just got a little but bigger thanks to a recent group of well-bankrolled amateurs and pros joining the $1 million tournament.
In a bid to make it the largest high stakes spectacle in poker history the organisers made provisions for 56 players and thanks to the recent surge of entrants just 15 places now remain. As ever the new list of participants is an intriguing mix of world class pros, emerging talent and the obligatory "anonymous businessman". Indeed, with the talent pool now running extremely deep it looks as though the action will be of the highest order when things get underway on June 29th. With just over a week to go until the $1 million charity event the organisers are hopeful it will be a sell-out but to ensure at least one more player gets a shot at the estimated $20 million top prize the WSOP will be hosting super satellites from June 26th. Costing from as little as $200, the qualifiers will take place inside the Rio and lead up to a $25,300 satellite with at least one entry to the Big One up for grabs.
