Germany's high rolling poker players are proving just as adept as their footballing countrymen when it comes to performing at the highest level.

Ole Schemion has become the latest in a procession of Germans to have won big in a Super High Roller Event after binking the $100k buy-in tournament at the Aria, Las Vegas on Saturday. Schemion topped a stacked line up of 30 entrants that included the likes of Erik Seidel, Britain's Paul Newey, and German high roller regs Tobias Renkenmeier and Philipp Gruisem.

In the end it was Schemion who took the biggest score after agreeing a chop with Isaac Haxton and Big One for One Drop winner Daniel Colman after Daniel 'Jungleman' Cates hit the rail in fourth.

1. Ole Schemion $1,062,785
2. Isaac Haxton $813,394
3. Daniel Coleman $796,821
4. Daniel Cates $297,000
