No pressure for Peers at GUKPT Stockton

No pressure for Peers at GUKPT Stockton

Monday, 16 April 2012

FA Cup semi final or a seat in GUKPT Stockton? That was the dilemma facing Allan Peers this weekend. It looks like he made the right choice though, forsaking a rare Andy Carroll goal and a triumph for the Reds by taking down the GUKPT's first Deepstack event for £11,000.

Peers outlasted a 72-runner field in the £500+£50 event in Stockton, eventually beating Thomas Dunwoodie heads up to take the biggest prize of his poker career.

The final table positions and payouts were as follows:

1st. Allan Peers (£11,000)
2nd. Thomas Dunwoodie (£8,000)
3rd. James Marriot (£5,380)
4th. Mark O'Kane (£3,190)
5th. Mark James (£2,560)
6th. Andy Lambert (£1,920)
7th. CT Law (£1,550)
8th. Darren Meynell (£1,280)
9th. David Galo (£1,100)
10th. Paul Riley (£520)

We don't have long to wait until the next GUKPT action. The G Casino, Thanet is the venue for a nine-day festival running from the 22nd-30th April and culminating in a £500+£50 deepstack, six-max event event. Qualify online at BlueSq Poker.
