No, not the Environmental Protection Agency – the European Poker Awards.

Founder and CEO of Gioia Gaming Systems, Gene Gioia, has been recognised by the awarding body for his Cut N’ Shuffle and Game Check products
GGS thinks that it can make a revolutionary impact on online poker. The technology allows players to cut and shuffle a real deck of cards rather than an RNG (which are, let’s face it, all rigged anyway).

The system can shuffle and deal continuously and transmit decks directly to computer servers to manage thousands of games simultaneously. Every game is certified and can be audited by any third-party agency.

This is aimed at those players who are a bit slow and didn’t think that “RNGs are rigged” comment earlier was sarcasm. With a real deck of cards, players trust the sites. It’s twisted logic, but hey – playing with a real deck of cards online is pretty cool, no matter what your conspiracy theory of choice is.
