Cash game players in Melbourne's Crown Casino now have a new way to make money courtesy of Gaming Entertainment System (GES).
Announced earlier this week, the innovation by the software company will see each of the poker room's 40 poker tables kitted out with a progressive jackpot tracker. Described as a "flexible solution", the units will send singles to a central management system which will record the action at the table and keep tabs on the bonuses and jackpots won.Because players often move tables and the action is always changing in a poker room, it's not easy to track the action with regards to bad beat jackpots and loyalty rewards. However, the GES Progressive system will be able to communicate data between each connected device so that all participants and their cards are recorded at all times. Commenting on the new innovation, Crown's General Manager of Table Games Strategy & Commercial, Tim Barnett, said that the product will create even more value for poker players visiting the poker room."Crown are always looking for innovative ways to improve products and provide experiences that customers value and the GES Progressive system allows Crown to introduce a flexible jackpot product to the Poker Room and provide a further reason to play poker at Crown Melbourne. We have been highly impressed with GES and Paltronics in their flawless delivery of this project," said Barnett.
